Just a reminder: The Vermont Challenge is not designed for beginners. For the shorter routes, you should be able to maintain an average pace of over 12.5 mph and ride 30-40 miles on a regular basis. Those riders wishing to take on the century or ride the longer routes each day should be able to maintain an average pace of over 15 mph and have excellent bike handling skills. The century has many sustained climbs and also some challenging downhills, so solid bike-handling skills are a MUST. If you have any questions regarding the routes please E-mail: info@vtchallenge.com
